Hattie and Flora create The Woodland King at Chicheley Hall!

Last week myself and Harriet Creedy, owner of Flora's Garden, took part in a floristry festival. We took part in the Woodland Folk competition, designing and creating a magical character for the children visiting the event. It was a privilege to take part in such a prestigious event, working alongside world wide renowned floristry designers such as Judith Blacklock. It was a fantastic week coming up with character ideas for our woodland creature! We went to Covent Garden Flower Market, and built the structure of the character ready for the installation day. On the Thursday we arrived on site at Chicheley Hall, a beautiful manor House, and began installing and forming our creature! We powered through the rain and by the end of the day enjoyed a champagne reception at the Hall with all the competitors and exhibitors. Judith Blacklock herself had some kind words for us..... ' I loved your design- it was so in feeling with the location. The standard was very high and I am so glad you got a special award. Well done Judith.'
