MOVING VENUE

I am currently working with Moving Venue Caterers as an Event Design Co-ordinator. The company produce catering and event design for events around London. They cater for these at fantastic venues such as The Natural History Museum, The Tower Of London, and the British Museum to name a few.

My role is to assist the event designer Tim Mckeown. Together we have been working on creating interesting and stimulating canape trays which are themed for the different events. Most recently I created the trays for an event at Kensington Palace for the Enchanted Palace exhibition. I designed 12 trays to go with each room in the palace and to link to the stories of the princesses who lived there.
I have been doing a variety of jobs from ordering props for the trays, creating proposals and mood boards, doing proformas and invoices, costings for the events, ringing suppliers and also clearing out the event design bits and creating a new storage space that we can work in and be creative in!

Here are some images of the horse themed trays we made last week. We used rosettes, horse saddles and parts, leather, and fake grass and moss. The clear boxes were made to our specific measurements and we can now use them to create themed trays by filling them with what ever we want.
